Harris airs an ad mocking Trump for a debate while watching the Alabama-Georgia football game

Vice President Kamala Harris took out a TV ad to pressure former President Donald Trump into another debate while attending a college football game between Alabama and Georgia.

“Winners never shy away from a challenge,” said the 30-second ad that aired during the competition. “Champions know it can be anytime, anywhere. But losers, they whine and doubt and take their ball home.

It continues with a clip of Trump missing a putt on the golf course before cutting to Harris challenging him on stage.

“Well, Donald, I really hope you’ll consider meeting me on the debate stage,” she says.

“If you have something to say, say it to my face.”

Her team planned to rent a plane Saturday to fly a banner reading “Trump’s Punting on 2nd Debate” over Bryant-Denny Stadium in Tuscaloosa, but bad weather forced them to cancel.

Trump was reluctant to debate Harris again, despite claiming victory when they met in September. Most people, including some of Trump’s own aides, believe Harris won on that occasion. But Harris has consistently pressured the former president to agree to a new debate.

“I believe we owe it to the voters to have another debate because this election and what’s at stake couldn’t be more important,” she said earlier this month at a campaign event in Charlotte, North Carolina.

According toThe Washington PostWhen Trump campaign spokesman Steven Cheung heard about the ad, he said, “Kamala Harris would never show up to a sporting event like this (Alabama-Georgia) because she would get booed out of the stadium and embarrass herself.” The independent has contacted the Trump campaign for comment.
