Derrick Anderson: This Republican politician ‘borrows’ wife and children for photo shoot

This Republican politician 'borrows' his wife and children for a photo shoot

Republican Derrick Anderson who is in a close race for Virginia’s seventh congressional district, was spotted at a photo shoot with his “family.” It was weird because the woman he was seen with wasn’t his wife and the kids weren’t his – everything was borrowed from his old friend. Anderson is engaged but not yet married and childless and lives with his dog.
The New York Times contacted Anderson about his fake photo shoot and a spokesperson criticized the focus of the images, saying every other candidate in America is featured in similar photos. The spokesperson said there was no indication that they were Anderson’s wife or children. Anderson was with his “female supporters and children,” the spokesperson said, explaining that nothing was fake.
“The images have not yet been used in any advertisements. They can be found on Mr. Anderson’s official YouTube page and are also posted on a website paid for by the National Republican Campaign Committee, where the organization provides resources to independent third-party groups that are not allowed to communicate directly with campaigns but can use the information posted there to guide their paid media strategy,” NYT reported.

The report says Republican candidates are seeking support among women amid the abortion row and many Republican leaders’ general stance on women. GOP vice presidential candidate J.D. Vance was criticized for his comment about “childless cat ladies” from the past, which apparently antagonized many women.
Social media users blasted Anderson for “borrowing” a family. ‘You have a beautiful family. Where did you rent them?’ someone asked. “Dude, this deception just undermined your campaign. Be honest, that’s all the people want,” offered another piece of advice.
“Childless Dog Man had to borrow from a friend’s family to fit his commercial into JD Vance’s story…” one person wrote.
“Based on your values and not the lies of the GOP. If you are a moral candidate, you will be supported. Don’t fall for Vance’s childless cat lady claims. Sad, very sad and ashamed,” wrote another.
Dear @JDVance: You said that people without children “don’t really have a direct interest” in our country. Do you think that applies to GOP candidate Derrick Anderson, who has no children but is trying to deceive voters by renting properties? family in his photos? Are you asking for a friend,” one user asked JD Vance to respond.
