Gigi Hadid found herself in a sticky situation at the Vetements spring-summer 2025 show during Paris Fashion Week. The supermodel walked the catwalk in a dress made from DHL packaging tape and matching heels.

Hadid was dressed in a figure-hugging strapless mini dress that was seemingly made entirely of the iconic yellow packaging tape with the red DHL logo, although there’s likely a fabric lining inside — at least we hope so. Additionally, she wore a pair of matching pointed-toe heels, also covered in yellow and red tape. Yes, you read that right. The same tape used every day to close and seal your timely packages just went luxurious for its runway debut.

For the occasion, the Vetements team ditched all the accessories and let the two packaging-inspired pieces speak for themselves. Hadid simply wore her signature blonde bob in loose, wet waves with a side parting for millennial style. She wore just a hint of matte nude lipstick and mascara, for a very understated look.

A motif in this collection appears to be constructing garments from unconventional materials. Other pieces on the runway included a newspaper dress and a dress made from other clothing. And this isn’t the first time Demna, co-founder of Vetements and creative director of Balenciaga, has put his name behind a tape-focused outfit (or a DHL look, for that matter; the brand put the shipping company on the map) down the runway for almost ten years). Hadid’s runway moment gave many fashion lovers déjà vu when Kim Kardashian wore a taped bodysuit from Balenciaga in 2022. So many sense a theme here.
