In what some may see as an unlikely union, Grammy-nominated singer and songwriter Lana Del Rey has married a swamp tour guide from Louisiana.

The Daily Mail has obtained exclusive videos and photos from Del Rey, 39, on Thursday’s wedding to Jeremy Dufrene, 49, in Des Allemands, Louisiana, about a 45-minute drive southwest of New Orleans.

In the video and photos posted by the Mail, the couple can be seen apparently getting married at an outdoor location on the waterfront in the small town. Del Rey wore an elegant white dress, while Dufrene donned a beautiful dark suit.

New Orleans news outlet nola.com reported that Dufrene and the musician had obtained a marriage license from Lafourche Parish — the word Louisiana uses for county — three days before the wedding.

The couple married near Arthur Matherne’s Airboat Tours, the company for which Dufrene leads tours through swamps teeming with creatures, including alligators.

Dufrene and Del Rey first became romantically linked in August when the couple was spotted holding hands at Britain’s Reading Festival, one of the country’s biggest music events.

But the pair are known to have known each other way back in 2019, when Del Rey posted about visiting one of Dufrene’s wildlife tours. Del Rey returned to Louisiana earlier this May for another swamp tour, tagging Dufrene again on Instagram.

Del Rey is one of the world’s most famous singers, known for hits such as Video Game and Summertime Sadness.
