Shania Twain will be the center of attention when she hosts the 2024 People’s Choice Country Awards, but she already stole the show on the red carpet.

The 59-year-old singer posed for photos ahead of the event on Thursday, September 26, at the Grand Ole Opry in Nashville. Twain wore a stunning floor-length denim halter dress and completed the look with matching gloves.

In addition to his role as awards show host, Twain’s Las Vegas residency has also been nominated for the 2024 Concert Tour, competing against Luke CombsGrowing Up and Growing Old Tour, Jason Aldean‘S Highway Desperado tour, Morgan Wallen‘S One night at a time 2024, George Street‘S Stadium tour, Tim McGraw‘S Standing places only Tour ’24, Kenny Chesney‘S Sun sets 2024 Tour And Zach Bryan‘S The Quittin Time 2024 Tour.

Earlier this week, Twain opened up about the importance of hosting the ceremony in Nashville. “It’s really a full experience for me,” she said Billboard. “It takes me back to my own beginnings in Nashville and as a new artist there, and of course the historic location is always appealing. The People’s Choice Country Awards are just around the corner, which means country music’s biggest names are showing off their fiercest and most fabulous fashion looks on the red carpet. Although Twain is responsible for organizing the festivities, she explained, “I’m here more as a fan than anything. It’s the artists that people want to hear and see, so for me that’s everything. I’m in the middle of it, so I’m super excited. I am all access.”

Twain also revealed where she drew inspiration from Reba McEntire – who previously hosted the Country Music Association Awards and the Academy of Country Music Awards – as she prepared for her role.

“All those big shows rely a lot on the mind and mood of the presenter because the presenters are chosen very carefully, making sure that people interact with each other and that the presenter has experience,” she said. “Reba is one of my favorite hosts. She speaks from experience and I think that commands respect and attention. She’s funny and smart and everyone loves them, and it’s a compliment to be asked to do something like that (host an awards show). So Reba is a good example for me.”

While Twain’s Vegas residency ends in early 2025, she teased that she still has plenty on her plate for the foreseeable future.

“I’m going to be very busy for the next few years,” she hinted. “I do more acting. I’m going into the studio to make a new album. I write music for different things and there’s a musical in the works with my music, so a lot of exciting things. I’ll be busy with more different things than I’ve ever done before in my career, so that will keep me off the Vegas stage for a while.
