The Americans are well on their way to taking home the Presidents Cup for the tenth time in a row.

Scottie Scheffler and the U.S. team pulled off a rare opening session at Royal Montreal on Thursday, taking a 5-0 lead at the biennial event in Quebec. It was the third time they had won the opening session, and the first time since 2000.

All but one of the matches were exciting until the end, and the international team is in no way outdone. However, they will now have to make a big step early in Friday’s four-match match if they want to have a chance of winning.
