Sony revealed his stunning PlayStation 30th Anniversary Collection last week, but pricing for the PS5 Pro bundle remained a mystery until today, when it went on sale — and promptly sold outmuch to the delight of online scalpers.

While it was previously revealed that there was a “very limited supply” Of the special edition consoles, nothing could have prepared hopeful buyers for how quickly the PS5 Pro sold out after official listings went live worldwide. The $999.99 bundle hasn’t sold out on all sites, though — fans desperate enough to pay thousands for the retro-themed PlayStation can always check out the ridiculously priced eBay mentions.

Ranging from $2,500 all the way up to $10,000 and beyond, the limited-edition PlayStation 5 Pro bundle is currently going for all sorts of mind-boggling amounts of money. While offerings north of $10,000 aren’t likely to garner much attention from serious buyers, fans eager for the 30th Anniversary Collection may very well opt to shell out an extra $1,500 or so to ensure a quick and secure shot at the shiny PS5 Pro bundle.

The eye-watering prices of scalpers are already making the rounds on social media, with fans from all over the world taking notice. “You know what,” goes one of those afterwith an attached image of the PS5 Pro bundles selling for £9,999 on eBay in the UK. “£699 doesn’t seem that bad.” Baldurs Gate 3 Publishing director Michael “Cromwelp” Douse himself left a humorous comment, calling it a “4D chess move.”

Not only is the limited edition PS5 Pro bundle now hard to come by, but the standard version of the new console is proving just as difficult to buy, with wait times at Sony’s official store currently over an hour. That’s just to get onto the website – actually purchasing a PS5 Pro is a whole other hurdle to overcome. I think I’ll stick with my PC for now.
