Danny Amendola debunks this rumor.

After the former New England Patriots player was supported by his buddy Xandra Pohl during a recording of Dancing with the stars Last week he ended a budding romance between the two.

“Xandra is a good friend of mine,” Danny told E! News Will Marfuggi in an exclusive interview on September 24. “I’m a huge fan and supporter of hers and it’s good to have a friend like that.”

Of course, Danny stressed that Xandra is still a very good friend, adding that his “mom loves her.” (For more from Danny and the DWTS cast, tune in E! News tonight, September 25, at 11:00 p.m.)

Luckily, since Xandra was spotted next to Danny’s mother Rose during the September 17 episode. Xandra, 23, wore a V-neck T-shirt and her hair down. She was seen smiling and clapping throughout the evening.

And while the 38-year-old has shut down any romantic speculation between the pair, rumors were already swirling long before Danny even put on his dancing shoes. In fact, the pair were photographed attending Tom BradyThe Patriots Hall of Fame induction ceremony in June at Gillette Stadium in Massachusetts.
