Joe Burrow, Zac Taylor Private Meeting 0-3 Start Bengals Commanders

play

Cincinnati Bengals head coach Zac Taylor and quarterback Joe Burrow did not walk with the rest of the team to the locker room after Monday night’s 38-33 loss to the Washington Commanders at Paycor Stadium.

Instead, they walked through a door that led to the coaches’ office for a private meeting. Burrow told reporters the decision to hold that meeting was a mutual one.

“It was a very positive conversation,” Burrow told reporters at the postgame press conference. “We’re not happy with where we’re at right now. But the season is far from over. We’re 0-3. We’ve got 14 games left. We just have to get better and see where the cards fall over the next 10 weeks. Whenever the bye is. So we just have to go into this week preparing to get better and try to win.”

It’s the first time the Bengals have started a season 0-3 since drafting Burrow in 2020.
