One striking stat from Dak Prescott is costing the Dallas Cowboys offense

The Dallas Cowboys’ epic comeback fell just short as the team lost its second straight game at home to the Baltimore Ravens on Sunday. Going into the fourth quarter, it looked like the Cowboys were in for another embarrassing upset.

On paper, the Cowboys team should perform better than fans saw early in the season.

What could the problem be?

A number that will be all too familiar heading into this season for the quarterback making $60 million a year. The Cowboys signal-caller is averaging 5.9 yards per pass attempt this season, a staggering number for an offense and a quarterback that should utilize the talent of wide receiver CeeDee Lamb to move the ball vertically up the field.

The Cowboys haven’t had many deep balls this season and the blame could lie with an inexperienced receiving core featuring the likes of Lamb and Brandin Cooks.

But when you make your quarterback the richest man on the field, it shouldn’t be too much to ask to take some risks, right?
