The Kansas City Chiefs’ offense struggled in the first half of Sunday’s game against the Atlanta Falcons. Quarterback Patrick Mahomes threw his fourth interception of the young 2024 regular season, and Kansas City’s running game struggled without Isiah Pacheco in the backfield.

After Mahomes lost the ball on the Chiefs’ first drive, the reigning Super Bowl MVP led Kansas City’s offense down the field when he got the ball back.

With just under nine minutes left in the second quarter, Mahomes found sophomore wide receiver Rashee Rice for a touchdown, pulling the Chiefs within one point of the Falcons at Mercedes-Benz Stadium.

Rice is quickly becoming Mahomes’ weapon of choice, and for good reason. The second-year wideout has developed into one of the Chiefs’ most reliable playmakers.

Fans took to Twitter to praise the young wide receiver after the touchdown.
