The Baltimore Ravens had a big lead this week as they held off the Dallas Cowboys’ second-half surge to finally pull out a win this season, 28-25.

The last two weeks have been tough for the Ravens late in the game. They lost to the Kansas City Chiefs on a toe in the endzone and then saw the Las Vegas Raiders surprise them at home with 10 points in a flash.

But this time, John Harbaugh’s team was up for the challenge and didn’t let any more mishaps happen in the fourth quarter.

Dak Prescott and the Cowboys offense were quiet for the first three quarters of this game. It looked like the game at AT&T Stadium would be a straight-up rout, as the Ravens held a 28-6 lead at the time.

Prescott, however, turned it up a notch in the fourth quarter, scoring 19 points. It all started after veteran kicker Justin Tucker, who had struggled early in the season, missed a 46-yard field goal with 10:41 left in the quarter.

Prescott then covered 64 yards in six plays and even reached the end zone when a quarterback snuck past him after KaVontae Turpin caught a pass from him for 23 yards and it landed on Baltimore’s one-yard line.

Then the home crowd went into an uproar when the Ravens botched an onside kick attempt by Dallas, immediately giving the Cowboys possession again. Prescott didn’t waste the opportunity, finding Jalen Tolbert for a 15-yard touchdown pass, though the two-point conversion was unsuccessful.

With the score at 28-18 and 7:07 remaining in the fourth quarter, there was still enough time to at least force overtime against the Ravens.

Jackson’s unit couldn’t get the job done when they had the ball, and they were forced to punt on a three-and-out drive, giving Prescott another chance to cut the lead.

That’s exactly what happened: the Cowboys needed 11 plays to cover 91 yards and Turpin was able to reach the end zone from 16 yards out, making it a three-point game.

Now Ravens fans were sweating as Jackson & Co. got the ball and needed first downs to seal the win. Although they couldn’t kill the clock earlier, Jackson literally took matters into his own hands on 2nd-and-9 at the two-minute warning and ran 10 yards for the first down.

With Dallas out of timeouts, Jackson knelt down to win. It was a tough finish, but it looked easier in the first half.

Baltimore knew it had to win this game to get on track, and it began that way after forcing a Cowboys punt. On the Ravens’ first drive, Jackson found the end zone on a nine-yard rush attempt to take an early lead.

Then it was running back Derrick Henry who had a great game with 151 yards rushing on 25 carries and two touchdowns. He reached the end zone for the first time in the game from one yard out on the Ravens’ second drive to take a 14-3 lead.

Both Henry and Jackson bolstered Baltimore’s rushing attack, combining for 238 yards on the ground. Jackson threw for 182 yards on 12 of 15 through the air, including a touchdown pass to Rashod Bateman in the first half.

Prescott finished 28 of 51 for 379 yards with his two touchdown passes, and tight end Jake Ferguson led the way with 95 receiving yards. CeeDee Lamb was relatively quiet by his standards with 67 yards on four receptions.

The Cowboys had no offense in this game as Baltimore limited them to 51 yards on the ground.
