MINNEAPOLIS — Sunday is the first official day of fall and that means it will be cooler the next few days.

Sunday will feel like a typical sunny fall day with temperatures expected to top out in the low 70s. It will be a windy day with winds from the north at 10-15 mph.

It’s going to be a cold night with freeze warnings in effect for parts of northern Minnesota from 2 a.m. to 8 a.m. Monday. Lows in the Twin Cities will drop to just below 50 overnight.

The rising high pressure will ensure that it remains dry and calm, with temperatures remaining around 21 degrees until Wednesday.

Thursday and Friday will be slightly warmer in the Twin Cities, with temperatures around 80 degrees Fahrenheit.
