    Week 4 of the college football season marks the start of the competition for many teams. Considering the number of games, that won’t be too bad.

    Clemson started the game with a huge domination of their conference rival NC State, scoring 45 points in the first half to secure an easy win, showing that they can compete with Miami, who are at the top of the ACC.

    The early games were also historic. James Madison scored more points in the first half against North Carolina than ever before in a wild 70-50 upset (UNC also had never allowed that many points in a half before Saturday). Later, Temple kicker Maddux Trujillo drilled a 64-yard field goal — the longest kick in 16 years and just one yard shy of Martin Gramatica’s record.

    In the evening window, No. 18 Michigan defeated No. 11 USC in a way only the Wolverines could, essentially winning on their ground game alone. In another ranked-on-ranked matchup, No. 12 Utah held off No. 14 Oklahoma State for a Big 12 victory despite Utes QB Cameron Rising sitting out another game.

    • Touchdown Oklahoma

      It was too late, but Michael Hawkins led the Sooners to a touchdown, capped by an acrobatic somersault into the end zone by the quarterback.

    • Baylor missing FG

      Baylor comes close to a field goal, but Isaiah Hankins misses from 45 yards out. That would have decided the game for the Bears.

      The score remains a draw: 31-24 with 2:16 left to play.

    • Final: Miami 50, South Florida 15

      Cam Ward finished with 404 yards passing, 3 TDs and 1 INT to give Miami a second-half lead.

      The Vols now lead by 16 points after turnovers on downs resulted in time wasting and a field goal.

    • Baylor takes the lead!

      Sawyer Robertson throws a dime to Hal Presley for a 24-yard touchdown.

    • Oklahoma Gives Up on Downs

      Well, that’s about it for the Sooners. Michael Hawkins sailed the fourth down attempt over his receiver’s head and Oklahoma appears to be running out of time.

    • Colorado drives the ball into Baylor territory, but comes to a halt when Shedeur Sanders is sacked on 4th down.

      Baylor ball, tie.

    • OU gets the ball back to 13

      The Sooners get the ball back after a defensive stand and will have it on their own 27-yard line. Hawkins showed some promise moving the ball on the final drive. We’ll see if he can bring Oklahoma back with just over 6 minutes left in the game.

    • Landing in Oklahoma!

      The Sooners finally found the end zone in the fourth quarter with Michael Hawkins at the helm. The backup QB found Jovantae Barnes out of the backfield for a touchdown to cut the Vols’ lead.

      After a penalty kick, Oklahoma’s Tyler Keltner misses the extra point, leaving the score at 22-9.

      The Sooners are finally showing some positive momentum with Michael Hawkins at quarterback, and they are now in the red zone.

      Micah Welch scores a 2-yard touchdown run and it’s a new game in Boulde

      The score was decided by a great catch by Travis Hunter.

      Colorado 24, Baylor 24, end 3rd

    • Final Standings: Florida State 14, Cal 9

      FSU gets its first win of the season. Cal suffers its first loss of the season.

    • FSU gets the 4th down and it looks like the Seminoles are going to get their first win of the season.

      Sigh of relief in Tallahassee.

      Florida State leads 14-9 with 1:05 to go, but Cal is on top.

    • End 3Q: Tennessee 22, Oklahoma 3

      Not much in the way of offense in the third quarter in Norman. The Sooners offense is simply anemic. They have 98 total yards with one quarter to go.

    • After halftime in Boulder, Colorado beats Baylor on 4th and 1 at the Colorado 41-yard line.

      A major setback for the Buffs, who still trail 24-17.

    • Tennessee deploys FG

      The Vols added another field goal, with Max Gilbert hitting a 41-yarder. The Sooners will need to find some semblance of offense to keep this thing close

    • Another touchdown from Miami!

      Damien Martinez scores another from the 1.

      Miami is now in complete control, leading South Florida 36-15 at the end of the third quarter.

    • We’re back for the second half of Tennessee-Oklahoma and the Vols had a huge play called back on a hold. They’re going to have to kick it away.

    • Landing in Miami!

      The Hurricanes opened the second half with a long 12-play, 80-yard drive, capped by a 1-yard touchdown run from Damien Martinez.
