MINNEAPOLIS — On Saturday morning, heavy storms are still raging in the metropolis, with hail even falling in some places.

The hail remained mainly in the south and southwest, but the size of the hail gradually decreased during the morning.

Areas further north of the Twin Cities are also experiencing severe weather. Residents living between Cambridge and Andover could experience wind gusts of up to 40 mph.

Severe thunderstorm warnings for Renville province expired at 8:15 a.m., but skies may still look dark as rain continues to move across the area and moves east.

We will see some sunshine in the afternoon before the next chance of storms arrives between 3pm and 6pm.

Sunday is the first day of fall, with seasonal temperatures to follow.
