Watch Shaboozey’s New Video for ‘Highway’

Track is the latest single from the rapper/singer’s album Where I’ve been is not where I’m going

Shaboozey finds himself on a long and lonely road in the new video for “Highway,” the rising country star’s latest single from his album Where I’ve been is not where I’m going.

The visual representation shows Shaboozey wandering around Paris, Texas-style through the picturesque heartland after a breakup, with only a guitar in hand. His solo journey takes him to the backs of pickup trucks, small-town carnivals, roadside diners, and finally an empty prairie at sunset, where he sings “Highway” next to a campfire.

“Highway”, which featured Shaboozey The Late Show earlier this month, the singer/rapper’s follow-up to his number one hit “A Bar Song (Tipsy).” Both songs will appear on Where I’ve been is not where I’m goingwho arrived in May.

In a review of Shaboozey’s new LP, Rolling StoneDavid Browne wrote that the musician “comes across as someone who grew up on country music and also appreciates hip-hop. In doing so, he has effectively changed the game. Cowboy driver (where he made two cameos) threw the first salvo at redefining and modernizing country, but Shaboozey’s sophomore album is a full-on barrage of all those possibilities.”

The singer also earned his first CMA Awards nominations earlier this month for both Best New Artist and Single of the Year for his chart-topping “Tipsy (A Bar Song).”

Shaboozey went on tour earlier this month to promote the album, with a North American tour that includes Chicago, Toronto, Boston, Brooklyn and other cities.
