YFN Lucci is still alive despite social media hoax about his death

YFN-Lucci He is now doing well again, after a terrible rumor about his death circulated on social media.

The Atlanta native’s name began trending on platforms like X, formerly known as Twitter, on Wednesday afternoon, September 18, after a blog claimed he had died in prison. Lucci’s attorney Drew Findling spoke to TMZ and confirmed that his client is still alive despite the viral post. Rapper FredRarrii also provided proof of life by posting a recent video call with Lucci on his Instagram account.

“Stop believing everything you see, my boy is safe in good hands‼️” he wrote. “He’s one of those #GOD has in his hands💯🙏 Free my boy @yfnlucci.”

Fans took to social media to express their concerns about YFN Lucci after the fake post went viral on multiple platforms without any source. Some people pointed out that if it is true, Quavo would be the only living artist of Lucci’s hit single “The key to the streets.” Others were also quick to bring this up Rich Homie QuanWHO dead earlier this month.

YFN Lucci is currently serving his sentence 10 months imprisonment after pleading guilty to one count of violating the Street Gang Terrorism and Prevention Act. Lucci previously faced 12 charges, including first-degree murder for the December 2020 killing of James Adams. Lucci did not fire the fatal bullet, but was reportedly driving one of the cars involved in the shooting. He surrendered to police on January 13, 2021, and was returned to prison a few months later after violating the terms of his release. He is likely to be released in January 2025.
