What happens in the second episode?

SPOILER ALERT! This post contains details of the second episode of Marvel’s Agatha Always.

Read on for a full overview of Agatha Always Already Episode 2.

Now that Agatha has come to her senses, she wants to make up for lost time and regain her strength.

As she walks out the door, she tells Teen to greet the “revenge seekers” for her, when he finally manages to get the tape off his mouth and begs her to take him to the Witches Road. She is clearly shocked by the question, and insists that the Road doesn’t exist, but he won’t take no for an answer.

When she realizes he won’t give up, she asks him what he’s looking for. Power. He’s tired of learning little tricks. He wants to be able to perform the real magic that the path promises to provide. Luckily for him, Agatha is looking for exactly the same thing.

She tries to shake him off again, but he begs her, reminding her that there are other witches after her. She asks his name, but when he tries to answer, his mouth is covered with a sigil, hiding his words. The sigil is in the shape of an “M.”

Now Agatha is intrigued. She agrees to take him on a journey. First they must find a coven.

First, they try their luck at a paranormal reading shop, where they encounter Patti LuPone’s Lilia Calderu. Although Agatha doesn’t recognize her and tries to lie about their motives, she does recognize Agatha. It takes some convincing, but Agatha eventually manages to get her on board as their fortune-telling witch.

They then go on a quest to find a potion witch and recruit Jennifer Kale, played by Sasheer Zamata, who runs a fake wellness store that has been in legal trouble since being kicked out of the witch community, to help them out.

In a strange twist of events, their next witch, a blood witch, is hiding out in a Hot Topic. They are searching for Ali Ahn’s Alice Wu-Gulliver, daughter of the powerful witch Lorna Wu, who is said to be lost on the Witches Road.

With the witches gathered, Agatha takes Teen home to prepare for sunset. On the way home, she asks Teen for more details about his life, but as he begins to reveal the details, something prevents Agatha from hearing what he says. There is no sigil this time, but it sounds almost muffled as he talks about his past.

There is only an hour left until sunset, and that is when Agatha knows the Salem Seven are coming for her, so she is very anxious as she waits to make sure the other witches arrive to officially form their coven. But when they do arrive, they point out that they do not have a Green Witch. Agatha tries to brush it off, but the others remain insistent. Earth magic is the key to traveling the road.

Agatha quickly runs across the street to recruit her neighbor, Mrs. Hart, also known as Sharon (Debra Jo Rupp).

She eventually gathers the group to sing the Witches Road ballad and conjure their path. As they sing, the Salem Seven come lurking and Agatha tries to lure the other witches into zapping her with a little power to keep them at bay (remember, Agatha can steal the powers of other witches if they hit her directly with their magic).

Of course, they catch on to her tricks and refuse to play along, leaving the Witches Road as the only way out. The only problem? It doesn’t appear when they finish the song. But after some bickering, as they begin to doubt whether the road even exists, a pair of doors appear beneath them just in time and they are able to escape the clutches of the Salem Seven.

Now the real journey begins, as the group meets at the beginning of the Witches’ Road.
