After a warm weekend, fall temperatures are expected in Utah starting on Tuesday and lasting all week.

The National Weather Service predicted a fall storm would hit Utah Monday afternoon and evening, with wind gusts reaching 50 mph in some places.

A wind warning for southwestern Utah, primarily in western Millard and Juab counties, was in effect from noon to 9 p.m. Monday, the weather service said.

The storm front is expected to bring rain to parts of Utah and possibly snow above 9,000 feet, according to the weather service.

Highs are expected to be just 64 degrees on Tuesday, about 15 to 20 degrees cooler than the weekend’s highs. Highs are expected to be in the low 70s for the rest of the week, about 10 degrees cooler than normal for this time of year, the weather service said.

The cold front crossing Utah Monday night “brings much cooler air into the region for Tuesday,” according to the National Weather Service website. “The main storm system will move through the region Tuesday, with cool and unsettled weather continuing for the rest of the week.”
