When asked about his dancing skills, Amendola described his moves as “junk,” though he does see a potential advantage over the other non-professionals.

“I think with my footwork, I have an advantage in that regard, but I have to learn the stance and the technique,” Amendola told The Hollywood Reporter. “And I’m going to listen to her for that.”

Carson, a seasoned professional dancer and former “DWTS” winner, will be returning to the group of contestants this year, giving her and Amendola a strong chance to win the “Mirrorball” triptych.

One of the duo’s biggest competitors, they admitted, is Olympic gymnast Stephen Nedoroscik, a native of Worcester, Massachusetts.

Olympic rugby player Ilona Maher from Burlington, Vermont, is also participating, giving New Englanders plenty of reasons to tune in this season.
