Wallen’s lawyers sought a reprimand for the 31-year-old hitman after he was arrested in Nashville in April for allegedly throwing a chair off a rooftop bar, sending it crashing into the street just feet away from police.

But the source tells Life & Style The lawyers are now working on a punishment that will also include a severe punishment!

“Morgan’s attorneys have been trying to negotiate a deal that would give him probation,” the insider confides, noting that the Grammy nominee faces up to six years in prison if found guilty on three counts of reckless endangerment.

“But things look bleak at this point. He’ll likely spend time behind bars.”

Wallen’s team managed to move the August 15 hearing to December, allowing the artist to maintain his concert schedule.

But the source says the shocked Wallen sees the epic!

“Morgan is told the best-case scenario is a jail sentence of 30 to 60 days.”

“I don’t think the prosecutors want him to get away with it under any time pressure because people will think it’s because of his celebrity status.”

Still, the insider says he hopes the charges can be reduced to misdemeanors!

“If Morgan gets a felony conviction, it will be harder for him to get a work visa to tour internationally!”
