Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs Arrested in New York, Music Mogul’s Attorney Says | Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs

Sean “Diddy” Combs has been arrested in Manhattan, the music mogul’s lawyer has told US media.

According to the New York Times, the arrest came after a grand jury indicted him, citing a person familiar with the charges who was not authorized to speak publicly.

The charges in the indictment were not immediately clear.

Combs’ attorney told CNN that the musician is cooperating with the investigation and has “nothing to hide.”

“We are disappointed with the decision to prosecute Mr. Combs, which we believe is an injustice,” his attorney Marc Agnifilo told CNN.

According to Combs’ attorney, the musician moved to New York last week to await his charges.

Combs, whose career has been plagued by sexual abuse lawsuits and a federal investigation, recently asked to overturn a $100 million judgment against a Michigan inmate who accused the music mogul of sexual abuse 27 years ago.

Combs was once one of the most successful rappers in the United States, with a string of hits including the US No. 1 singles Can’t Nobody Hold Me Down, I’ll Be Missing You and Shake Ya Tailfeather. His label Bad Boy Records was home to popular artists such as Notorious B.I.G. and Mase, and he had success with other business ventures such as clothing label Sean John and vodka brand Cîroc.

But his reputation has been tarnished since the allegations, which he denies. In recent weeks, New York City Mayor Eric Adams has demanded that Combs return the ceremonial key to the city he received in September 2023, while Howard University revoked Combs’ honorary degree, ended a scholarship program in his name and returned a $1 million donation.
