    After setting the WNBA record for most goals in a season earlier this week, Las Vegas Aces star A’ja Wilson added another unique difference on Sunday.

    Wilson became the first player in league history to score 1,000 points in a season during Sunday’s 84-71 win over the Connecticut Sun:

    Wilson finished with 29 points, nine rebounds, three assists and two blocks in the win. She reached the 1,000-point mark with a fadeaway jumper in the fourth quarter:

    After falling short of winning the WNBA MVP title in 2023, Wilson appears poised to add a third trophy to her mantle, having helped the reigning WNBA champions to a 25-13 record as the playoffs quickly approach.

    Wilson will get two more chances to add to her record as the Aces return to action on Tuesday against the Seattle Storm, before closing out the regular season on Thursday against the Dallas Wings.
