Mike Lindell’s MyPillow Sued by DHL Over Alleged Unpaid Bills

The lawsuit filed Monday in Minneapolis alleges that Lindell’s company owes DHL about $800,000. The parties had reached a settlement, but DHL says MyPillow has paid only a fraction of the amount owed.

Conservative activist and election denier Mike Lindell is in trouble in court again, this time with parcel delivery company DHL.

DHL has filed a lawsuit against Lindell’s company, alleging that MyPillow owes nearly $800,000 in unpaid bills, failed to pay for all package delivery services within 15 days of the invoice and breached its contract with DHL, according to court documents obtained by USA TODAY on Friday.

The lawsuit was filed Monday in Hennepin County Superior Court in Minneapolis.

Lindell declined to comment when contacted by USA TODAY on Friday.

Lawsuit filed after settlement payments stopped

DHL and MyPillow reached a settlement in May 2023 that required Lindell’s company to pay DHL $775,000 in 24 monthly installments beginning in April of this year, the complaint said.

But Lindell’s company paid only a portion of the settlement, just under $65,000, the lawsuit said.

DHL sent MyPillow written notice of default on July 2 and is now seeking approximately $800,000 in damages, plus interest and attorney fees, which could make things much more expensive.

Not the first time Lindell has appeared in court

This isn’t Lindell’s first rodeo in court, as was reported earlier this year. U.S. District Judge John R. Tunheim ordered Lindell to pay $5 million to a software engineer who debunked data used by the MyPillow CEO to claim China interfered in the 2020 election.

In April, the U.S. Supreme Court also declined to hear an appeal from Lindell over his claims that his rights were violated when FBI agents seized his phone in 2022. The federal government seized his phone while investigating the sharing of sensitive information through Colorado’s automated voting systems.

Also in 2023, the lawyers defending him in several defamation cases asked the court for permission to drop his case because Lindell had not paid them.

According to court documents in the DHL case filed this week, Lindell has no attorneys and is being represented as himself.
