Cameras caught Von Miller wearing a Bills cap he had autographed

Thanks to a dominant first half from running back James Cook and a stifling defense that allowed just 10 points and created three turnovers, the Buffalo Bills marched into Hard Rock Stadium in Miami and made a statement with a 31-10 victory over the division rival Dolphins.

And they did it with style.

At one point during the game, Amazon Prime Video’s cameras were on. Thursday Evening Football broadcast caught Bills star linebacker Von Miller wearing a flannel Bills cap on the sideline.

But upon closer inspection, the quirky pattern wasn’t the only thing that made this hat special: it appeared to have been signed by Miller himself.

Some fans found it funny, while others suspected that Miller probably gave the signed hat to a lucky fan.

While it’s not entirely clear why Miller did it this time around, it’s not unusual for the former Super Bowl MVP to wear an autographed cap on the sidelines, as he did when he was with the Denver Broncos.

Miller took to X (formerly Twitter) in December 2017 and had a simple explanation for the fact that he was wearing a hat that he had autographed himself.

“Yes, I did,” Miller wrote. “So I wouldn’t lose it on the sidelines. The whole team has hats.”

Well, there you have it.

And as for Miller’s on-field performance? Healthy after his recovery from a torn ACL in 2022 derailed his ’23 season, Miller recorded a sack for the second straight game and generated four total QB pressures in the game, per Next Gen Stats.

Counting through Friday, Miller and the Bills will get 11 days of rest before taking on the Jacksonville Jaguars in Week 3. Monday night football.
