LAS VEGAS – Sean O’Malley and Merab Dvalishvili are one step closer to finding out who the better men are after Thursday’s press conference ahead of UFC 306.

O’Malley (18-1 MMA, 10-1 UFC) puts his bantamweight belt on the line against Dvalishvili (17-4 MMA, 10-2 UFC) in the main event of Noche UFC at Sphere (ESPN+ pay-per-view, ESPNews). The historic nature of the event has served to draw more viewers to both men.

The verbal exchanges during the press conference showed that both men are confident that they will leave with the title in convincing fashion, and their behavior during the faceoff matched that energy.

O’Malley faced his title contender shirtless, while Dvalishvili looked handsome in a red suit. They exchanged a few heated words at first, but shook hands before posing for the crowd.

O’Malley will attempt to defend his second 135-pound title in the bout, while Dvalishvili hopes to take gold and extend his winning streak to 11 straight fights inside the octagon.
