Musician Dave Grohl has shared some personal news about his family.

The Foo Fighters frontman recently announced he has become a father again. In a statement on his Instagram page on Tuesday, he wrote that his new baby girl was born “outside” of his marriage to wife Jordyn Blum.

“I recently became the father of a new baby daughter, born out of wedlock,” Grohl wrote. “I plan to be a loving and supportive parent to her.”

“I love my wife and my children, and I am committed to earning their trust and forgiveness,” the former Nirvana bandmate continued in his statement. “We are grateful for your concern for all the children involved as we move forward together.”

A spokesperson for Grohl declined to comment further beyond the statement on Instagram.

Grohl has been married to Blum, a director, since 2003. They have three daughters: Violet, 18, Harper, 15, and Ophelia, 10.

The rock ‘n’ roll legend did not share any information about the mother of his new daughter in his post on Tuesday.

Grohl and Blum have kept their relationship and personal life largely private for years, occasionally appearing together as a family on the red carpet.

They were recently spotted together at Wimbledon in London in July, during the European leg of the Foo Fighters tour.
