PHILADELPHIA (CBS) — Jason Kelce made his “Monday Night Countdown” debuted before the San Francisco 49ers-New York Jets game and has since gone viral.

The recently retired Philadelphia Eagles center was forced to buy a shirt at the mall because he left his suitcase in a truck prior to his trip to the West Coast.

“It fits my stomach now, I’ve lost a little bit of weight, but my (expletive) is still bothering me,” Kelce said.

“The fact that a Hall of Fame center can shop at Lululemon is huge, man. That’s a big accomplishment,” said Ryan Clark, a former NFL safety and ESPN analyst.

Jason Kelce’s brother Travis posted on X that he was “surprised he bought a new one and wasn’t just walking around shirtless.”

Jason Kelce officially joined ESPN’s “Monday Night Countdown” in May, two months after retiring from the NFL after 13 seasons with the Eagles. Jason Kelce will appear on the pregame show from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. prior to Monday Night Football during the regular season. He will also appear on the pregame show for ESPN’s wild card and divisional playoff games during halftime of each broadcast.

Jason Kelce won’t have to travel far for work next week.

The Eagles host Atlanta Falcons next Monday during their home game at Lincoln Financial Field. If Jason Kelce forgets a jersey again, he can go back to his home in Delaware County to get a new one.
