Tom Brady’s Announcer Debut Gets Negative Reviews

Former Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback Tom Brady took a year off after retiring from football last year, but is now back at work.

Brady signed a deal with FOX to become an announcer shortly after retiring from Tampa Bay, earning a total of $375 million over 10 years (while also trying to become a part-owner of the Las Vegas Raiders). There’s been a lot of teasing and buzz surrounding his debut, but he made it official on Sunday when he announced his first game, a 4:25 matchup between the Cleveland Browns and Dallas Cowboys.

The Cowboys defeated the Browns 33-17 and although Brady successfully concluded his first career as an announcer, early reviews of his performance have not been particularly positive as he begins his new career as an announcer.

It’s safe to say that many people on social media weren’t big fans of Brady’s debut:

That said, it wasn’t all doom and gloom for the former Buccaneers quarterback. Some people thought Brady did a good job in the booth, including NFL Network reporter Jane Slater.

Of course, it’s not the end of the road for Brady, and he’ll likely get better as he plays more games. But for now, it seems like the GOAT still has a lot of room to improve.
