Dolphins’ Tyreek Hill detained hours before game against Jaguars

Miami Dolphins star forward Tyreek Hill was apparently arrested by police on Sunday morning, just hours before the team was set to host the Jacksonville Jaguars to open the season.

Videos on social media showed Hill in handcuffs with multiple police officers surrounding him. Other photos showed Hill on the sidewalk with the stadium in the background. Hill was seen wearing gray sweatpants and a white tank top.

Hill’s agent, Drew Rosenhaus, told ESPN that the NFL star was pulled over by police for an alleged traffic violation.

“I just left Tyreek and he’s getting ready to play today,” Rosenhaus said.

Rosenhaus did not immediately respond to a request for comment from Fox News Digital.

Miami released a statement.

BILLS’ DAMAR HAMLIN TALKS ABOUT STARTING SAFETY AFTER HEARTBEAT

“This morning, WR Tyreek Hill was pulled over for a traffic incident approximately one block from the stadium and briefly detained by police,” the team said on X. “He has since been released. Several teammates witnessed the incident and stopped to offer support.

“Tyreek and all other players involved have arrived safely at the stadium and will be available for today’s match.”

The five-time All-Pro will look to build on a stellar season in 2023. He garnered MVP attention for much of last season, finishing with 119 catches for 1,799 receiving yards and 13 touchdown receptions. He led the league in receiving yards and touchdown catches.

Hill is in his third season with the Dolphins, but Miami is still hoping for that elusive playoff win.
