It’s unclear what prompted his departure, but sophomore safety Carter Stoutmire has taken Sanders’ spot.

This comes just a week after fellow starting safety Cam’Ron Silmon-Craig left the NDSU game in the first quarter with a head injury. Silmon-Craig is back in the lineup against Nebraska.
