HASTINGS, Neb. (KSNB) – After a pleasantly mild Labor Day, an equally great night to end the holiday as skies will be mostly clear and temperatures will be in the 70s and 80s. Skies will remain clear tonight, allowing lows to drop back into the 50s tonight.

The weather will remain quiet through Wednesday as some more warmth builds ahead of a cold front. High temperatures on Tuesday will climb into the 80s with some lower 90s in northwestern and western parts of the area. More warmth is expected again in northwestern Nebraska. Highs on Wednesday will mostly be in the mid to upper 80s.

A cold front will move south through the area Wednesday night into Thursday. This will bring a chance for showers back to the area, along with a big drop in temperatures for the end of next week. Highs on Thursday will mostly be in the 70s. Highs on Friday will mostly be in the mid to high 70s and low 80s. Highs on Saturday will mostly be in the 70s. There are some very small chances of rain on Friday and Saturday, but it seems unlikely at this time. After next weekend, another warming trend is expected with mainly dry weather continuing.
