Multiple people injured after shooting during New York Caribbean Carnival parade, police say

CROWN HEIGHTS, Brooklyn (WABC) — Six people were shot Monday after gunfire broke out along the route of the New York Caribbean Carnival parade, police said.

A shooting was reported near Classon Avenue and Eastern Parkway.

According to police, all injuries are not life-threatening.

At least one person is still being sought.

The suspect is described as a man with a slim build, 6’1″ to 6’3″ tall, wearing a bandana on his back and a brown shirt. He fled west on Eastern Parkway toward Classon Avenue, police said.
