LSU Football Coach Brian Kelly struggled to contain his emotions during his media appearance Sunday night after USC capitalized on what Kelly described as a lack of discipline in the 27-20 loss.

Kelly hit the table first during his post-game press conference, where he explained his frustrations with the team, including several personal fouls that resulted in scoring opportunities for the Trojans and an offense that simply couldn’t score in the red zone.

“We’ve had a few guys play their asses off tonight, and here we are again – here we are again talking about the same things! About not finishing when you’ve got an opponent in a position to put them away, but what we’re doing on the sidelines is feeling like the game’s over,” an animated Kelly shouted.

“And I’m so angry about it that I have to do something about it. I’m not doing a good enough job as a coach, and I have to coach them better, because it’s unacceptable that we didn’t find a way to win this football game. It’s ridiculous.”

LSU had a four-point lead in the third quarter, but USC tied the game with two minutes left. That was enough time for Miller Moss to connect with Kyron Hudson and put the Trojans within range of a field goal.

However, LSU’s Jardin Gilbert was penalized for a goal-bound play, putting the Trojans on LSU’s 13-yard line and Woody Marks would come out on top. the winning score.

LSU PLAYER CALLED FOR UNSPORTSMANIAL CONDUCT AFTER PRETENDING TO SHOOT A GUN AFTER A TOUCHDOWN

“I think this is the first time since I’ve been here that I’ve been really angry with our football team. If you look at the big picture, we didn’t play complementary football… But what concerns me the most is the personal fouls. The selfish penalties. Both of those led to scores, and they’re undisciplined penalties,” Kelly said.

“We pride ourselves on having a disciplined program, but we clearly didn’t do a good enough job because that affected the game.”

“We had the chance to beat this team, but now we are becoming complacent and making more mistakes when we are ahead, instead of being more focused and having a killer instinct of steel. That is disappointing.”
