During the 81st Venice International Film Festival, Brad Pitt and George Clooney not only premiered their upcoming film Wolves but also enjoyed a double date in the City of Water.

Both Academy winners were spotted at several hotspots in the city with their respective partners, Amal Clooney and Ines de Ramon, according to People.

On the other hand, the upcoming film was a collaboration between the stars after 23 years.

“We’ve been friends for a long time. And it’s fun because we also get to visit each other every now and then, which is an important part of all this,” the Batman actor told GQ“Life is complicated and you always have to make sure everyone is okay.”

Brad said this about their friendship: “George is probably the best at understanding, seeing the chessboard and the possible moves. I’ll call George at different times when things get bumpy.”

In the meantime, Wolves will hit theaters on September 1, with the film then appearing on Apple TV+.

However, this decision was at odds with what George wanted, namely a more extensive release.

“Yes, we (Brad Pitt and I) wanted it to be released, but we had some bumps along the way, that happens,” he said at a press conference.

“On the other hand, a lot of people are going to see the movie and we’re going to get a release in a few hundred theaters, but yeah, it would have been nicer if the movie had had a wide release.”
