The NFC East hasn’t had a repeat champion since the Eagles won three in a row following realignment in 2002. Our analysts expect that trend to continue this season (sorry, Cowboys!), with Philadelphia earning 24 first-place votes and a playoff spot on all 28 of our analysts’ ballots. Dallas is still projected as the conference’s fifth seed, with the most total points of any NFC wild-card contender. A playoff berth would be nothing new for Dallas, which is one of just 10 teams to reach double-digit playoff appearances this millennium. Of those 10 teams, however, all but the Cowboys have advanced to a conference title game; in fact, the other nine have all won at least one Lombardi Trophy since 2000.
