    Oregon and Kansas lead week 1 college football uniforms

    College football action is back for Week 1 and the Uniform Heat picked up right where it left off.

    The No. 3 Oregon Ducks are known for their iconic and unique uniforms. In their Week 1 game against the Idaho Vandals, the Ducks will wear their “Gang Green” threads with a logo patch on the shoulder of their classic Duck mascot logo.

    The Kansas Jayhawks, ranked 22nd, defeated the Lindenwood Lions 48-3. The game was played in Kansas City, Kansas, at Sporting Kansas City Stadium.

    Sporting KC’s team colors are baby blue and navy blue. To honor the football club, the Jayhawks wore an ice blue uniform in the victory.

    White out

    The Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets are in top form after defeating the No. 10 Florida State Seminoles in Dublin with a walk-off field goal. The Yellow Jackets will take on the cross-town rival Georgia State Panthers in their ice-cold white uniforms.

    The UNLV Rebels travel south to take on the Houston Cougars, hoping to bring the spirit of Sin City to Space City with a clean, all-white uniform.

    Flashy combinations

    The West Virginia Mountaineers host the powerhouse No. 8 Penn State Nittany Lions looking to redemption from their 2023 debut, when they lost 38-15 to Penn State. The Mountaineers will want to do so in style in their gold jerseys and navy pants.

    Week 2 marks the beginning of the UTSA Roadrunners’ two-game road trip, with their I-35 showdown against the Texas State Bobcats and then a visit to the No. 4 Texas Longhorns in Week 3. But before they head out on the road, the Roadrunners will kick off their season with a classy look, with an orange-on-orange combo at home against the Kennesaw State Owls.

    The No. 20 Texas A&M Aggies are putting the “college” in college football. But they’ve got a big load to lift in Week 1 against Marcus Freeman and the No. 7 Notre Dame Fighting Irish. The Aggies’ quest for an upset on Saturday will be led by their burgundy jerseys, white pants and a white helmet to tie it all together.
