The Pittsburgh Steelers’ long pursuit of Brandon Aiyuk is over after the star 49ers wide receiver officially signed a four-year, $120 million extension with the 49ers. It’s the contract he’s been asking for all along, and now that the 49ers have given him that deal, Pittsburgh must now continue the pursuit.

However, at this point in the season, including after cutdown day, the Steelers have few options moving forward. They traded Diontae Johnson nearly six months ago, and their investments at the position have been Van Jefferson, Quez Watkins, Scotty Miller and a third-round pick that the team spent on rookie wide receiver Roman Wilson.
