Pink and her 13-year-old daughter Willow sang an emotional rendition of “What About Us” at the Democratic National Convention on August 22 (if you missed it, Entertainment tonight has a clip of it HERE.) And while the stunning live duet left the audience with tears in their eyes, behind the scenes moment was even more special.

“It’s been a busy few weeks 😮‍💨😎,” the “Trustfall” singer wrote on Instagram today. Along with several photos from her Summer Carnival tour, Pink also posted a heartfelt video of a pep talk she gave her daughter ahead of the DNC.

In the clip, which was filmed backstage, Pink leaned over to her daughter and encouraged her to “just do your thing” onstage. “Whatever you don’t sing, I’ll do,” she continued. “It’s gonna be awesome. OK?”

“I’ll be ready,” Willow replies with a smile. How incredibly sweet is that? There’s no stress or pressure — just a mother and daughter out and about performing and celebrating Vice President Kamala Harris before she accepted the Democratic nominee for president.

“My God I adore you! What an inspiration, what a role model and an amazing mother!” one person commented. Another wrote: “❤️❤️❤️ I loved this historical version of something about us at the DNC. Wow. You all especially Willow were amazing 😍”

“What a touching performance and the bond between mother and daughter is beyond beautiful ❤️❤️❤️🤗🥹🫶” someone else said. “You all did an amazing job and we are so proud of you @pink and willow 🫶🫶🫶”

Pink, who shares Willow and son Jameson, 7, with husband Carey Hart, revealed that her daughter was pursuing her dreams of working in musical theater and would no longer be touring with her. In a June TikTok, Pink wrote, “This weekend’s shows were Willow’s last few on tour before she takes time off to pursue her dreams. I promised I wouldn’t cry. I did NOT promise I wouldn’t hyperventilate during our hug.” She continued, “I’m going to miss you so much.”

The video was of Pink and Willow, in which she said to her daughter, “Okay. You have your own lane and you want to be in it. And I think that’s awesome for you. And I’ll tell you, in this last recital, I saw a version of you that I didn’t know existed and it’s been really wild to watch you grow up and outgrow me.”

These are two mother-daughter goals, and it’s so sweet to see them together!
