Delaware woman wins $150,000 on scratch-off lottery

A Newark woman is a big winner after winning a $150,000 prize playing the Platinum Payout Bucks Blowout scratch-off game.

The woman, who asked to remain anonymous, bought the winning ticket at Boyd’s Corner Liquors in Middletown, the Delaware Lottery said. She claimed her prize on July 31.

According to a press release, the winner said the most she had ever won in the lottery was $1,000.

According to the lottery, there are still three top prizes of $100,000 up for grabs for the Instant Game $100K, along with two top prizes of $150,000 for the Delaware Lottery $20 Cashnado scratch game.

How long do I have to claim my prize?

According to delottery.com, tickets are valid for one year after the date of the draw for the prizes of the draw game or one year after the announced end of sales for Instant Games.

How can I claim my prize?

First, sign the back of your ticket with an ink pen to identify yourself as the ticket owner. Once signed, ownership of a ticket cannot be changed or transferred, according to the Delaware Lottery.

A prize valued at $5,001 or more may be claimed at the Delaware Lottery Office weekdays from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. You will need to bring a photo ID with your name and address and a Social Security card.

All winning Powerball, Mega Millions and Lotto America tickets must be redeemed in the state and jurisdiction in which they were sold.
