Ipswich have completed a deal to sign striker Jack Clarke from Sunderland for an initial transfer fee of £15million, plus £5million in potential add-ons.

The 23-year-old, who has scored 27 goals in 94 games for the Black Cats since joining permanently from Tottenham, will undergo a medical with the Tractor Boys on Friday.

Clarke would become Ipswich manager Kieran McKenna’s tenth signing this summer.

Born in York, Clarke rose through the Leeds youth ranks, making 25 first-team appearances and scoring twice.

He joined Tottenham Hotspur in July 2019 but struggled to make a name for himself and was sent out on long-term loans to QPR, Stoke and Sunderland.

Clarke played six international matches for England at under-20 level.
