Discover the surreal world of a fast food mascot in the new immersive experience Sweet Dreams

Good night is not the first rodeo of Factory International and MLF together, with their previous development, Dreama digital theatre production that ran between 2021-2022, set in Shakespeare’s forest A Midsummer Night’s Dream. The show, which repurposed gaming technology, featured live actors in motion-capture suits, interacting with the audience and their fellow actors. It embraced a subversive spirit that the teams transferred to Good night as MLF continues its series of immersive products that address reinterpretation, perception and experience. A world-renowned, award-winning art collective, MLF has set a standard for synthesizing contemporary culture and new technology, bringing new conversations to the forefront of art and interaction.

Likewise, Good night‘ venue, Aviva Studios, is also breaking new ground, opening in June 2023 as a new cultural beacon for the city of Manchester. With the latest production taking over from Yayoi Kusama’s popular inflatables exhibition it previously hosted in its inaugural summer, the design and creation of the experience cements both Aviva Studios’ importance in the UK and the city’s status as a global centre for culture and innovation. Good night‘ premiere marks a major release for Factory International and MLF, as well as a successful partnership with the BFI, funded by the National Lottery. The experience is thoughtful and complex beyond aesthetics, designed to blur the boundaries between disciplines, shows and opinions, resulting in something as unsettling and avant-garde as it is restlessly progressive.

Good night is now showing until September 1 at the Aviva Studios in Manchester.
