DETROIT, Mich. (WKBN) – The Cleveland Guardians have officially added new signing Lane Thomas to the club’s active roster.

Thomas is in the starting lineup, batting second and starting in right field, for the final game of the series on Tuesday afternoon in Detroit.

To make room on the roster, the Guardians have sent outfielder Will Brennan to Triple-A Columbus. Brennan is hitless in his last 21 at-bats with Cleveland.

Thomas was acquired by the Washington Nationals on Monday night in exchange for three minor league prospects.
