England bowlers Jofra Archer and Ollie Robinson have both signed one-year extensions to their contracts with Sussex.

Pace bowler Archer, 29, has won 59 caps for his country in red and white-ball cricket, taking 115 wickets.

Fellow seamer Robinson, 30, has taken 27 wickets for Sussex in the County Championship this season, and 16 in the T20 Blast.

He has claimed 76 wickets in 20 Test matches for England at an average of 22.92, but was not included in the squad for the recent 3-0 win over West Indies.

Sussex are top of the County Championship Division Two after nine games of the season and are through to the quarter-finals of the T20 Blast.

“I’m delighted to have signed a contract with Sussex again. Hove feels like home to me and I wouldn’t want to be anywhere else,” said Archer.

Archer has been with Sussex since 2016 and has taken 181 first-class wickets for club and country in that time.

Robinson joined Sussex in 2015 and has taken 339 first-class wickets for the region.

“I am delighted to be extending my contract with Sussex for another year. The cricket we have played this year shows that we are moving in the right direction as a team,” said Robinson.

“I look forward to being part of it for another year and seeing how we as a club continue to push forward.”
