Xiaomi launched the Redmi Pad Pro 5G and Redmi Pad SE 4G tablets in India, both running Android 14-based HyperOS. The Pro model features a 12.1-inch 120Hz display and Snapdragon 7s Gen 2 processor, while the SE model features an 8.7-inch 90Hz display and MediaTek Helio G85 processor. Pricing starts at Rs 21,999 for the Pro and Rs 10,999 for the SE.

Xiaomi on Monday introduced two new tablets in India — Redmi Pad Pro 5G and Redmi Pad SE 4G. As the name suggests, the Pad SE is a budget offering while the Pad Pro is a mid-range device. Both the devices come with Android 14-based Xiaomi HyperOS and come in cellular models. Let’s take a comparative look at the pricing and specifications of the two new Redmi tablets.

Redmi Pad Pro 5G vs Pad SE 4G: Price and Availability

The Wi-Fi-only model of the Redmi Pad Pro 5G is priced at Rs 21,999 for the single 6GB RAM + 128GB storage variant. It comes in Graphite Grey and Mist Blue colour options.

The Wi-Fi + cellular model of the tablet is priced at Rs 24,999 for the 8GB RAM + 128GB storage variant and Rs 26,999 for the 8GB RAM + 256GB storage variant. This model comes in Graphite Grey and Quick Silver colour options.

The Redmi Pad SE 4G is priced at Rs 10,999 for the 4GB RAM + 64GB storage variant and Rs 11,999 for the 4GB RAM + 128GB storage variant. It comes in Forest Green, Ocean Blue, and Urban Grey colour options.

Both tablets will go on sale starting August 2, 2024 at 12:00 PM IST.

Redmi Pad Pro 5G vs Redmi Pad SE 4G: Specs and Features

The Redmi Pad Pro 5G measures 280mm x 181.85mm x 7.52mm and weighs 571 grams. The Redmi Pad SE 4G measures 211.58mm x 125.48mm x 8.8mm and weighs 370 grams.

The Pro model has a 12.1-inch LCD display with a 120Hz refresh rate, a 2.5K resolution (2560 x 1600 pixels), Dolby Vision, and a peak brightness of 600 nits. The SE model has an 8.7-inch LCD display with a 90Hz refresh rate, a 1340 x 800-pixel resolution, and a peak brightness of 600 nits.

The Pad Pro 5G is powered by a 4nm Qualcomm Snapdragon 7s Gen 2 processor, paired with up to 8GB of LPDDR4X RAM, and up to 256GB of UFS 2.2 onboard storage. The Pad SE 4G, on the other hand, is powered by a 12nm MediaTek Helio G85 processor, paired with 4GB of LPDDR4x RAM, and up to 128GB of eMMC 5.1 storage.

Both the tablets feature an 8MP camera on the rear. However, while the Redmi Pad Pro 5G also has an 8MP selfie camera, the Pad SE 4G has a 5MP selfie front-facing camera. The Pro tablet is backed by a 10,000mAh battery with support for 33W fast charging while the SE model comes with a 6,650mAh battery and supports 10W charging.
