Courtney Myhrum would have liked to play in this week’s US Senior Women’s Open at Fox Chapel Golf Club in Pittsburgh.

She competed in 16 USGA Championships and would have faced 120 of the world’s top seniors on her home course, a classic Seth Raynor design renovated by Tom Fazio, where she is a seven-time club champion. However, an embolism and subsequent recovery earlier this year forced her to curtail her activities, so she withdrew from her designated qualifying site for the Aug. 1-4 event.
